Made You Look edged Master Merion (5) late to win a maiden special weight race for two-year-olds, going 6 furlongs on the turf at Belmont this afternoon VIDEO.
Away in good order from post position 7 of 9, jockey Javier Castellano secured a great spot tracking Master Merion in the two path racing down the backstretch. Racing through the far turn after an opening quarter mile in :21.90, Made You Look seemed to be traveling well about two lengths back.
After a half mile in :44.75, Made You Look and Castellano engaged the frontrunner as the pair straightened out of the turn. Set down for the drive, Made You Look responded well passing Master Merion inside the 1/8 pole and edging away in the final strides to finish in 1:08.23. It was another 7 lengths back to Conquest Sure Shot who rallied late to earn show CHART.
