GLACKEN’S GAL SOLD AS BROODMARE PROSPECT
A beautiful daughter of Champion Sprinter, Smoke Glacken, out of a stakes producing mare, Glacken’s Gal was the first winner, and first stakes winner for Let’s Go.
She debuted in a five furlong maiden at Belmont Park, and impressed with a professional performance that saw her draw away for a 2½ lengths tally. Returning in the $100,000 Astoria Stakes, she was in charge throughout, pulling away for a two lengths victory over subsequent stakes winner Dubit. Established as one of the early leaders of the New York filly division, Glacken’s Gal looked ready to go on to distinguish herself in graded stakes company, but her promising career was cut short by injury before she ran again. However, her good looks, pedigree, and talent saw her realize $250,000 as a broodmare prospect at the 2008 Keeneland January Sales.
