The China Horse Club has acquired a minority interest in GI Champagne S. hero Daredevil (More Than Ready). The Todd Pletcher charge is scheduled to make his sophomore debut in the GII Swale S. at Gulfstream Park Feb. 28. He scored on debut in a Belmont maiden Sept. 13 by 6 1/4 lengths for Let’s Go Racing and WinStar Farm prior to his Champagne victory.

"Let’s Go Racing and WinStar are thrilled to have such an exciting new partner as China Horse Club, who recently approached us with an interest in buying into Daredevil," said Let’s Go Racing’s Bryan Sullivan. "China Horse Club’s racing accomplishments at the highest level around the globe are nothing short of impressive."

The CHC has already had success at the Group 1 level with interests in Australia (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), who won the G1 English Derby as well as the Irish equivalent last summer, as well as four-time Australian Group 1 winner Dissident (Aus) (Sebring {Aus}). Parranda (English Channel) successfully represented the CHC in the recent CECF Singapore Cup.

Added WinStar’s Elliott Walden, "China Horse Club has already enjoyed tremendous success with a top colt from the More Than Ready sire line with Australian superstar Dissident (Aus). So it’s a great fit to have such a top international outfit associated with an exciting young Grade I winner in Daredevil, who possesses such a great international pedigree."

Daredevil is a half-brother to GI Donn H. winner Albertus Maximus (Albert the Great). His second dam is GISW Race the Wild Wind (Sunny’s Halo) responsible for French highweight and G1SW King Charlemagne (Nureyev).
