There are few more exciting young stallions at stud than Pioneerof the Nile. Winner of the CashCall Futurity (gr. I) and Santa Anita Derby (gr. I), and a fine second in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I), Pioneerof the Nile is siring graded stakes winners at a faster rate than any horse of his generation.  They already include the Triple Crown hero American Pharoah; 2016 graded one scorer Midnight Storm; multiple graded stakes winner and Cairo Prince - favorite for the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) until his highly promising career was interrupted by injury; 2016 two-year-old graded winners Classic Empire and Levante Lion; and other graded stakes winners Jojo Warrior, Dark Nile and Vinceremos.

The dam of this colt is the classically-bred Touch Here. A daughter of Deputy Minister's Belmont Stakes (gr. I) and Haskell Invitational Stakes (gr. I) winner Touch Gold, Touch Here is half-sister to Summerly, winner of the Kentucky Oaks (gr. I), Fair Grounds Oaks (gr. II) and Silverbulletday Stakes (gr. III), and also placed in the Mother Goose Stakes (gr. I) and Coaching Club American Oaks (gr. I).

The second dam, Here I Go, a daughter of Mr. Prospector, is a two-year-old winner who also took second in the Golden Rod Stakes (gr. III) and third in the Florida Oaks (gr. III). Here I Go's dam, Shufflin N Seattle, is a half-sister to stakes winner Goodness, and is by Seattle Slew out of Darby Shuffle, winner of the Boiling Springs Handicap (gr. III) and three other stakes events, and runner-up in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) and Selima Stakes (gr. I). Darby Shuffle is herself a three-quarters sister to Beat All, a stakes winner in England and the U.S., who also took third in the Epsom Derby (gr. I).

There has been only one previous starter on the Pioneerof the Nile/Touch Gold cross that produced this yearling, and that horse is the stakes winning and grade two placed Courtier. The cross of Pioneerof the Nile's sire, Empire Maker, with a Touch Gold mare resulted in Emollient, who took the American Oaks (gr. I), Spinster Stakes (gr. I), Ashland Stakes (gr. I) and Rodeo Drive Stakes (gr. I). Touch Gold's sire, Deputy Minister, is also found in the dams of Pioneerof the Nile graded stakes winners Jojo Warrior and Levante Lion. The pedigree also features inbreeding to Pioneerof the Nile's male-line ancestor Mr. Prospector, something that is found in nine Pioneerof the Nile stakes winners, including graded scorers Jojo Warrior, Levante Lion, Classic Empire, Dark Nile and Vinceremos.
