There are few more reliable stakes sires than More Than Ready. The only horse ever to be Champion Sire of Two-Year-Olds in both North America and Australia, he is now sire of more than 140 stakes winners, including no less than 19 grade one winners. In the U.S. his best known stars include Verrazano and Daredevil – both grade one winners raced by Let’s Go – Room Service, Regally Ready, Buster’s Ready, Hungry Island, Ready’s Gal, Tom’s Ready, Made You Look – another multiple graded stakes winner in the Let’s Go colors – and current two-year-old star Copper Bullet.

The dam of this filly, Tap Tap Tapping was an accomplished runner who was not only a two-time winner, but also took second, beaten just a length, in the Dogwood Stakes (gr. III), and third in the Honeybee Stakes (gr. III) with such as graded stakes winner Decelerator and grade one winner Tiz Miz Sue behind her. The dam of two winners with her only foals of racing age, Tap Tap Tapping is a daughter of the sensational three-time Champion Sire Tapit.

Tap Tap Tapping’s dam, Senorita Spike, is a three-quarters sister to stakes winner and stakes producer Amwag. Senorita Spike is also half-sister to Corona Lake, victorious in both the Desert Stormer Handicap and Morgaise Handicap, and herself dam of multiple stakes winner Maizelle. Tap Tap Tapping’s granddam, Aziyah, is three-quarters sister to grade two scorer Fair Judgement, and half-sister to Istidaad, a grade one winning and five-times grade one placed performer.

Tap Tap Tapping goes back to Mystery Mood, winner of the Red Bank Handicap and also multiple stakes placed, including the Frizette Stakes (gr. I), and dam of Champion Maximilian, graded stakes winning and grade one placed Mystical Mood, and stakes winner Mythical Hunter. Mystery Mood is also ancestress of Champion Two-Year-Old Colt Stevie Wonderboy, Champion Turf Horse Big Blue Kitten, and graded stakes winner Ailalea, a daughter Tapit’s sire, Pulpit, and so from the same sire line and female line as Tap Tap Tapping.

This filly is a product of the cross of More Than Ready with A.P. Indy line mares that has also produced grade one winner Room Service, and graded winners Hungry Island, Major Gain and Catholic Boy. We can particularly note that More Than Ready has stakes winner Justa Lady out of a mare by Pulpit, the grandsir e of the dam of this colt, and 2017 graded stakes winning two-year-old Catholic Boy out of a mare by Bernardini, a horse bred on a very similar cross to Tapit, the broodmare sire of this filly.
