One of the standout runners of his generation, Medaglia d’Oro was a multiple grade one winner of over $5,700,000. Firmly established as one of the world’s leading sires, he has already sired champions on three continents, and is currently the Leading Sire by Stakes Winners in the U.S. in 2015. Medaglia d’Oro is sire of more than 70 stakes winners, including the immortal Rachel Alexandra; Passion For Gold, the Champion Two-Year-Old Colt in France; Vancouver, the sensation Australian Champion Two-Year-Old Colt of 2015; with other grade one winners including Marketing Mix, Plum Pretty, Mshawish, Coffee Clique, C S Silk, Chapagne d’Oro, Violence, Lochte, Warrior’s Reward, Lochte, and Songbird.

Let’s Go’s Medaglia d’Oro colt is half-brother to the talented filly L’Amour de Ma Vie. Racing in Dubai, L’Amour de Ma Vie produced and outstanding performance to defeat Champion and classic winner Flotilla and group one winner Certify for the Balanchine (gr. II). She also captured second in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes (gr. II) at Royal Ascot, in a field which contained four current or future group or grade one winners.

This colt is out of Cuaba, a speedy daughter of Champion Sprinter Smoke Glacken. A four-time winner, Cuaba recovered from a stumble at the start to miss by just ¾ length in the Gallant Bloom Handicap (gr. II) and was also second in the Winning Colors Stakes (gr. III).

The granddam, Libertaire, won 4 races in France and the U.S., earning black-type with a victory in the 8½ furlong Solo Haina Handicap. Libertaire is half-sister to Go Lib Go, winner of the Tropical Park Derby (gr. II), Frank Arsenault Memorial Breeders’ Cup Stakes and Sam F. Davis Stakes. The third dam, Liberia, is out of the group winning Liastra. In turn, Liastra is a daughter of group winning and group one placed Lighted Glory, also ancestress of French Derby (gr. I) hero, and successful young sire Lawman and French Oaks (gr. I) victress Latice, as well as numerous other group and graded winners.

By Medaglia d’Oro out of a Smoke Glacken mare, this colt is bred on an identical cross to the Davona Dale Stakes (gr. II) captress Live Lively. This is also a version of the broader Medaglia d’Oro/Mr. Prospector cross, which has produced at least 26 stakes winners, including Champions Rachel Alexandra and Passion For Gold, and grade one winners Warrior’s Reward, Violence, Mshawish and Lochte.
